OK, so dieting... this is what I think about this. I think that the number of diets out there is ridiculous. At the end of the day, I think everyone will benefit from eating less, eating healthier, and working out just a little more. I have recently started working out and watching what I eat, my motivation is my wife. She is a vegetarian, and eats very healthy. I, on the other hand, ate whatever I wanted, at whatever time I wanted, and that was just about the worst thing I could have done. I've eaten this way since I was about 20, so I didn't know much better... until Mrs. Gupta came along and made me realize that I need to eat better, become healthier, and do it SOON.
We are about to have our traditional wedding, a month after that we have our reception, and about a month after that, we are planning on going on our honeymoon. You could say that you're only doing this to trim down for the wedding... but you would be wrong. I truly want to become healthier so I don't diseases, and have a long and happy life with my wife. In the past 3 weeks, I've completely changed my eating habits, have started counting calories, and know exactly what goes in my body :) Now, the other night I had a craving for some chicken nuggets and made my way to the Golden Arches... I felt like CRAP for the rest of the night. Once your body gets use to eating healthy and nutritious foods, fast food tears you up. I just saw that movie "Super Size Me", and literally felt like he did when he forced himself to eat that quarter pounder meal and threw up... ask my wife.
So, I know it's tough, it's not fun, and it's definitely more work... but you should really start eating healthier for yourself, you'll thank yourself when you're 70 :)
